Titled: How can the pace of implementation of the 2030 Agenda be accelerated, halfway to the finish line?

The conference aimed to address the key question (practical and theoretical) of how to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals halfway to the finish line and the critical target. The role of educational institutions in advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Following the successful conference organized by WASD in collaboration with the United Nations System Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) at the Palais des Nations - Geneva in 2018 as an expression of the participatory, open and multilateral approach that forms the basis of the 2030 Agenda, we invite all stakeholders including universities to join us In this global conference to explore innovative strategies, collaborative initiatives and transformative approaches that enable educational leaders, policymakers and stakeholders to accelerate progress towards a sustainable future.
The conference will focus, but not limited to, on these key areas:
1- Status of implementation of national commitments (country case studies).
2- Strengthening the role of universities in accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
3- Improving overall health and well-being.
4- Using artificial intelligence to accelerate development in poor countries, not to deepen polarization.
5- Achieving the sustainable development goals: a perspective from donor countries.
6- Promoting innovation and better use of intellectual resources in countries of the Global South.
7- The impact of COVID-19, wars and conflicts around the world.

During the conference, participants will learn about the interactive and smart digital platforms of the University Sustainable Development Goals (WASD) and will have the opportunity to join its various platforms.
